Harvey Nichols Private Shopping
Building an editorial content
system for luxury clientelling
Working within Harvey Nichols Private Shopping, I developed a flexible content system designed around how clients discover, consider and engage with fashion — combining editorial curation, brand imagery and the immediacy of in-store content.
Private Shopping is in a space between commerce and personal recommendation. Clients respond to immediacy — what has just arrived, what their stylist has seen, what is physically in store — while luxury fashion increasingly exists through highly polished
digital imagery.
I explored how Private Shopping content could feel more personal, tactile and editorial: less like marketing distributed to a customer, more like something selected and sent to them.
From Screen To Page
Across the system, I developed a recurring tactile language inspired by the physical experience of fashion magazines: translucent pages, printed imagery, numbering, collage and objects layered over paper. It responds to a renewed appetite in our society for physical experience and analogue nostalgia, bringing some of the intimacy of print into digital client communication.
Style
GET THE LOOK: Translating runway and lookbook imagery into shoppable Private Shopping edits — allowing clients to source an exact brand look or recreate its styling through the Harvey
Nichols assortment.
Discover + Curate
Repeatable formats turn newness and assortment into edited recommendations — introducing brands, hero products and
category stories.
Access
Clients respond strongly to informal imagery shared directly by their Private Shopper. Rather than replacing that immediacy with polished campaign content, I explored how it could be elevated while retaining the feeling of something spontaneously seen and sent from the store.
